“Translation Taxi” game

Description

This game is for either middle or high school, and is a hands-on way to review the process of translation, where a piece of messenger RNA goes through a ribosome to produce a protein strand made of amino acids.  The concepts of transcription and translation are often difficult for students to entirely grasp, and need to be reviewed again and again.  This activity provides a fun way to reinforce leaning about translation.

You will need to provide some small candies (or other edibles).
