“Viking Voyages”

Purpose of game:

To learn about Viking trade routes

(Did you know that the Vikings went east as far as Constantinople and possibly even Baghdad? The Vikings didn’t always pillage and raid. When they went east, they went as merchants and established settlements in Asia.)

Target age group:

8-13

Description of game:

Players move tokens along Viking trade routes marked on map.  Event cards provide weather reports and events that affect travel time.

Time needed:

15 minutes for set up, 20-30 minutes to play the game

Materials you will need:

Copies of the pattern pages (on card stock if possible), scissors, clear tape, a number cube (dice), tokens for the players to move on the board
