Pointer star craft project

Purpose of activity:  To learn about the stars used for navigation in the northern and southern hemisphere

Target audience:  ages 8-12

Time needed: 20-25 minutes

Materials needed: copies of pattern pages (one page color, one page onto black paper), scissors, glue stick, white colored pencil or white/silver gel pen, a few other colored pencils, a sharp object to poke holes such as a push pin, a piece of cardboard to put under object while poking holes, a piece of white chalk or pastel
