“Fill An Ocean” (classification of marine invertebrates)
Purpose of activity: To review classifcation of marine invertebrate phyla and classes
Target age group: ages 8-14
Description: This is a Bingo-type game, where a Bingo is achieved by filling the four squares of one of the oceans. You can use your own pictures (I used digital pictures projected onto a screen in a semi-darkened classroom) or verbal clues, or the small pictures provided.
Time allowance: 15-45 minutes to play, assembly takes only about 5 minutes.
Materials needed: Copies of the pattern pages, scissors, glue sticks, some kind of tokens (pennies or candies) to put onto the squares
