The Egg Carton Game (numbers that add to 12)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Purpose of the game: To practice addition facts up to 12, and specifically the numbers that add up to 12 (11 and 1, 10 and 2, 9 and 3, etc.)

Target age group:  6 to 9

Time needed to play:  5-15 minutes per round (depending on both skill and luck in each round)

What you will need: an egg carton, a copy of the number page, 12 small objects that will fit into the egg compartments (EX: small toys, rocks, candies, plastic eggs, marbles, whatever you have on hand and whatever will make the game look exciting to your students)
